11/19/2007 | KE4H Been looking forward to this contest all year as always. I already had a Slinky Dipole in the attic for 80, and put up a rotatable dipole during mid summer just for Sweepstakes (renting).

I started out the gate on 20 meters and stayed there thru the early evening, picking up a quarter of my sections. I then went to 80 meters, not expecting much with my attic antenna. I was surprised to see it hopping from 3700 to 3900 MHZ!

Crashed for 6 hours at 0230 (worked this one by myself). Got up at 0700 and got on 40. Still not much there. 20 and 80 were the bands of choice for me. 1700 came early and I knew I would not make it to 0300.

Hawaii and Alaska eluded me as usual. Along with Mississippi and WTX, and a few of the multiple state sections.

72 Sections and 220 or so QSO's was quite an accomplishment with my antenna system and low power.

It was great to hear David Sumner, K1ZZ and W1AW on the air. It made it all worth while.
