11/20/2007 | W1AW We had a BLAST operating W1AW this year. This was my second year for Sweeps at W1AW - a different team this year. Joining me were:

Ward, N0AX, writer extraordinaire
Dwayne, WY7FD, Rocky Mtn Vice-Director Elect

It's always fun to hear people from all over the 80 ARRL Sections having so much fun and especially when people get us at W1AW - things like "Oh yeah, I got the Mother Ship" or "Great to have W1AW on the Air" - it makes all of us smile and enjoy EVEN more what we already love!

As is usual when operating an event or contest at W1AW, food and fun are absolutely part of the equation! Mary brought her charcoal grill from home and Dwayne fired up some awesome Rib-eyes. I whipped up a roasted root vegetable casserole and green bean thingy. Ward made the most beautiful and delicious pies! We ate good...too good.

Sunday morning, we all needed sugar and caffeine...hence the Mmmmmm Donuts picture below.

Anyway - for all of you that we worked - Thanks for the QSO! We hope you had as much fun as we did!!!
