12/10/2007 | N8CPA This was worst I've ever heard 10M CDX during contest weekend. Many times I'd hear stations try to answer my CQ's, only to have the path snap closed; vice versa when I tried to answer CQ's. All the effort of my vertical antenna yielded a practically horizontal rate. Only 51 Q's total, all state side, all CW, a heavy percentage Texas. In fact, I worked almost as many Texan stations as I did my home state, Ohio.

The only DX I heard were Uruguay and Argentina, almost as far south as I am north. But the propagation was only South to North, apparently. They could not hear me when I tried to answer their CQ's. I also noticed they were sending SN's in the 300's, so their late spring exempted them from the propagation shield that embargoed little signals like my own. -- N8CPA
