12/11/2007 | K4DMH The conditions this year were the worst that I have seen in almost 30 years of operating. There were some very odd modes of propagation at times, including aura flutter, and I suspect some Es as I worked a South American station only by beaming to the North with extreme QSB on the path in both directions.
Local propagation was only out to about 50 miles and nothing from there to about 750 to 900 miles. Did get most of NE from central Florida ( missed RI & VT ), missed CO and ND in Zero land.
Even sitting at the op position for extended hours did not pay dividends this year. It has to go up from here.
Thanks to all that were patient and helpfull in digging this LP SO station out of the Mud...
