11/27/2007 | KB2YCC This was my first attempt at 2 meter EME. During the first weekend I was able to work IK3MAC on CW even with my small station. Armed with a Yaesu FT-736 and a Dentron Clipperton V amplifier into a 10H x 10v switchable polarity yagi things went ok. During the second weekend, Murphy reared his ugly head and killed my rotor. After lowering the rotor down I discovered a solid block of ice inside it. After a thaw and some new grease I was back up and running. Although I did not make any contacts the second weekend, I did hear a few station but was not able to make the contacts. Some improvements will be made to the station and next time things will be better...the bug has struck. -- KB2YCC
