01/01/2008 | WA8TBL It was probably 1980 that I last worked SKN and the event posted on the ARRL website pulled me back to 80 meters. My first contact was K2WI running his WWII spy suitcase and the best fist of the evening. Thanks, Rob, for a most interesting contact even though the voice QRM was conflicting with your XTAL-controlled signal. Also worked Brian, K9VKY, and on 40M John, WB8RVK, who both had good sigs and fists. Imagine QRM on CW in these days! Here is a photo of the older parts of my station. A Brown Bros Model CTL key, and an old modified Collins tuner nicely painted by Godfrey Miller and swapped to me in the 1970s.
