W6SQQ
W6SQQ - I was on a camping trip with Sam's Radio Hams this year, so was operating from the RV. 50 watts to an SGC ATU, a roof mounted 27' vertical and a Nye Master key. Due to scheduled activities, I didn't have much time, but did manage 3 SKN QSOs. The bands were hopping early on, but the congestion faded away some in the later hours when I made contact with K2A/0 in KS, one of the SKCC special event stations scattered around the US. My most enjoyable contact was a ragchew with KE7HLS, Steve, in Reno, NV. The most challanging contact was with K2A/0 due to another QSO ongoing within 100 cps. Reminded me of the good old days of CW in the early 1950s. This is a great event, and I have every confidence it will continue to grow in popularity.
