01/03/2008 | KA4WJB I had a great time with Straight Key Night which I hadn't been a part of in years. The rig I was using for SKN was a Heathkit HW-16 with Heathkit HG-10-B VFO and J-37 key. A rig I lusted for as a teen (go figure). I recently purchased one and started to restore. It was fun to do a lot of listening and interesting to note how many hams used classic gear. To all that I contacted, thanks for your patience with a less than perfect fist and a chirpy TX. I'm already looking forward to the next Straight Key Night with, maybe, another classic tube rig or unique hand key.
