01/18/2008 | W8KYZ This was my first straight key night. 80 cw was busy and noisy. I picked out W3TZW who had a great fist. We had a wonderful QSO for over 45 minutes. He was 85 and I am 71 years old. Roy was licensed for 69 years with the same call and I 55 years with same call.

As midnight approached we both agreed to toast the other with a shot of Jack Daniels and passed on our 73"s. What a great way to welcome 2008! -- W8KYZ
