01/21/2008 | N8QE VHF band conditions could not have been worse for the contest. No E's or Ground Wave openings for me in Northeast Ohio. I did manage to triple my contacts from last year, but that's only because I added stacked KU4AB SQ50s and a TS-2000 running 100 watts for 6 meters. Looking forward to the June 2008 VHF contest when E's should be happening. I have to admit I did watch football Sunday afternoon with all the locals worked, and no openings.
