01/23/2008 | N0LL This contest was an interesting time. Hear in the High Plains where there is little local activity, 6m is through the years has always been the band to concentrate on. However the only thing beyond ground wave was two scatter contacts Sunday morning and one minute of what sounded like Es to Texas Sunday afternoon. Ground wave on all the other bands was below normal range. Rovers worked were N0LD/R and WR0I/R. Thanks! Most of my Qs were in Kansas and Oklahoma as nothing was worked from South Dakota or Wyoming. Made 4 Qs with Iowa and 6 with Missouri and 11 in Colorado and 4 with Nebraska. I live 15 miles from the Kansas-Nebraska state line in Kansas. 78 total contacts in 20 hours.
Have lost track of the number of ARRL VHF contests operated but I should be on the 2nd century now. 100+. Till the June contest. Larry -- N0LL
