01/26/2008 | W4AMP Activity was down somewhat in Georgia but the contest was still a lot of fun. Just got the station set up at my new house days before the contest. After five years in a row operating out of 1/4 acre lot at only 600'ASL the new place at 1000'ASL was fantastic! Rigs used were a Yaesu FT2000 and FT897. Antennas are a 144/440 dual band homebrew cubical quad and a 144 horizontal loop. On 6 ran a Cushcraft vertical and Buckmaster off-center fed windom. Look forward to next year. -- W4AMP
