11/02/2007 | JOTA At the station of W8RCM (camera man/control operator) Eric, Life Scout is at the mic making his first DX contact while Ricky (center), KD8EYO, looks on to help with the logging. Drew is listening and learning while waiting for his turn at the mic.

The weekend produced 5 Radio merit badges for Dansville, Michigans Troop 21 and a real interest in the hobby for a few of the scouts. A total of 9 scouts and 4 adults participated in the JOTA/IOTA that weekend.

On November 13th, Eric will be testing in Howell, Michigan with LIVINGSTON AMATEUR RADIO KLUB looking to get his Technicians License. Two other scouts are still studying and hope to test in the near future.
