2010 ARRL June VHF Contest
Based upon reports from recent QSO's, I decided to drive north and operate from a 7000' location in DM17. The site is in Nevada and rare Esmeralda County.
High winds greeted me as I struggled to put up antennas and the tent, but I finally got it all going in time for some good double-hop Es to the east. A few contacts were made on 2M including W7MEM in DN17 WA. A couple were made on 432 MHz. Sunday morning, but the bulk of the activity was on 6M for a total of 118 grids on that band.
Desert wildflowers were still blooming to brighten up the landscape.
