After many years of 24-hour operating with emergency power in the field, as a "mature" OM, I now like to operate 1D an give out QSOs to the guys in the field.  It sure would be nice if other class-D ops were NOT allowed to sit on a frequency and call CQ!  I don't know how many times I waited to give a contact, only to find the other station was also class-D.  Yeah, life is tough everywhere...
