2010 ARRL 10 Meter Contest
Well, the contest started out at a snail's pace, with a whopping 12 Q's made on the entire first day! And several of those were locals!
We must have heated the ionosphere because a pipeline to the east coast opened up, Sunday morning. I worked up and down the eastern seaboard with a smattering of South American, Mexican and Canadian stations mixed in. However, the central U.S. never materialized for me. That's okay as I've seen worse.
One advantage I have is that I enjoy the challenge of weak signal operating and that's just what the lulls in the sunspot cycles give folks like me. You can have your 20 meter phone pileups! By the way, the SB200 in the photo was NOT hooked up at the time.
See you all, next year!
