I had a great time working SKN again this year. I put my old novice rig into service and it still works well! I’m glad to have never parted with my Heathkit DX-60B and HR-10B that I bought and built in 1975-76… real troopers that have never let me down… and have their own place of respect on the operating desk. Key used was a Vibroplex “Know-Code” key. Antenna was a dipole at 35’. I operated “rock-bound” with two crystals. It seemed like the weather was the topic of conversation this year, it has been nasty all over the country… and way too cold for everyone. But, I did catch that there were many vintage rigs glowing, and heard several Icom’s, Yaesu’s, and Kenwood’s too!
