I love RTTY.  I started RTTY three years ago and have participated in the Roundup each year. My second years score was better than the first one and this years score was well on its way to besting my previous years score.  I was prepared.  I new where I was going to start and when I was going to change bands.  I calculated my 6 hours of Off Time to the minute.  Got up early and everything.  Needless to say, "I was prepared!"  Unfortuntaly, the state of Louisiana was not.  Sunday morning it began to sleet. Rain and Sleet again.  Since we are not acustomed to ice in any form, we were not prepared.  Who would of thought that Louisiana would be caught in an ice storm?  All went well until 10:00 AM on Sunday.  That was contact 267, the last one. No electric for 13 hours.  I am an avid search and pounce operator and usually net 500 Q's or more.  How embarassing.  Oh well, there is always next year, sigh.  73 Marcel
