Had another fun run at Portable QRP with modest antennas on 50,144,222,and 432. 1296 was DOA and portable operating leaves no way to diagnose and repair. The accompaning picture shows the tent and antennas. It was a little cold but a good sleeping bag saved the day.  Made about 60 QSO's. Location was 29 miles north of AL/TN state line just off  I-65 .  EM65nj.  Thanks to all !
