I spent Sunday of the c.w. contest at K1TTT's multi-multi looking, without much results, for new 40 meter stations or any stations at all on 10 meters. I got home with about a half hour left in the contest and decided to see if I could do anything with my 5 watts to a G5RV. Anybody that was left in the contest must have been hungry by then. I had four contacts in four countries in 12 minutes on the air. I got part of one exchange wrong. I don't know why I sent in a log, I had forgotten all about it when yesterday, more than a year later, I got a big envelope from ARRL with a certificate for first place, single band 40 meters, Western Massachusetts. Will this note inspire some competition here?
