This was the first year that the Issaquah ARES/RACES team hosted and participated in Field Day. It was such a great learning experience and showed us what areas we need to work on to have more productive Field Day events. This year we were at the Lake Samammish State Park group site and had 25 visitors--mostly Issaquah CERTs.

We worked a lot to get antennas up. After a couple of failures with the antenna launcher (read a little bit about it at www.wt0f.com), we were able to get a few up and get on the air. We had plans for another one or two antennas, but we just ran out of time to get them up. Would have liked to make more contacts, but we are quite happy with the results given we only had 2 weeks to pull everything together due to unforeseen issues. 

We had Seattle's KOMO News do an article prior to Field Day and they also followed up after Field Day with some of the pictures.
