The Orange County Radio Amateurs and Durham FM Association again combined forces for a 9A Battery operation at Blackwood Farm near Hillsborough , NC. A lot of preparation was made for efficient antennas, grounding and bandpass filters to minimize interference. All the hard work paid off! Running QRP, we made 1788 contacts for 3009 QSO points, with the multiplier and pending confirmation of bonus points, we may have a final score of 17,035 which may be a new record for our category. All the participants had a blast operating, and look forward to next year. Unfortunately, our 1/4 wave Vertical for 80 Meters crashed to the ground after 10 years of service. A new , improved successor is already planned.
