Gary Kadar N8GK and Roger Stefancic KC8LGR went to the Oneida Peak area of East River Mountain (above the community of Springville, Va.). They used the 2 ERARC's UHF/VHF/HF rigs and Gary's 8 el 2 meter beam and Don Anderson's WD8OOR http://www.m2inc.com/index2.html  6 meter M2 HO loop antenna *. They went up around 1230p and came off of the mountain just as it was getting dark. Roger saw a bear cub on the way out. Thanks to Jay Belt K8CTI and Sibley Communications for the use of their properties. Both of the guys said that, "A good time was had by all" but had hoped that more stations had been heard on the air.
