I tried SKN this year from my ice fishing house on Movil Lake, MN.  Set up an IC-746 and 2-12 volt deep cycle Marine batteries and ran 50 watts to a Transworld antenna out on the ice.  I used my first straight key, an Ambassador Deluxe, which I had as a novice in 1961.  It really began to snow so I had to shut down earlier than I planned.  I had 5 great QSOs though and even caught a northern pike.  So I guess you could say I caught more 'ham' than fish!  Happy New Year to all from WØAAA
