This year was the first SKN that I did not use vintage gear having sold off my collection in 2011. However, I was on with a WW-2 J-38 key used by a WW-2 Signal Corps Code instructor during the war and built by Lionel. I did manage a few QSO's on 80 and 40 but in my location the QSB-QRN were bad. Best fist I heard on 80 was W9ZN, perfectly sent CW !  The most interesting QSO was with K8OMO, running a 1928 one tube tx, Hartley oscillator circuit.. Wish more Hams would operate on SKN, maybe ARRL should call it a Contest to ramp up the activity and give out an award ??  Just my 2c !
