It was a pleasure working the ten stations during SKN. My 2012 SKN station is 1950s and 1960s vintage WRL Globe Scout, Drake 2-B with 2-BQ, B&W T-R Switch, and a J-38 with Nye Speed-X key. The T-R switch was also needed to dampen the vibration of the Scout's steel case during key down. The Scout featured a little chirp with one of my soft crystals, as reported by  W5EN with a 577C report and the comment, "actually ur tone cuts thru the QRM."
