My first SKN and a very enjoyable one it was.  After discovering my paddle trained fingers could no longer operate my Vibroplex bug I broke out the J-38 on which I learned Morse code oh so many years ago.  The evening took me back to those cold, quiet Colorado nights of 1958 and 1959 when 40 meters was so still you could hear forever.  Those days had a lot fewer residential noise makers for sure.  My J-38 was plugged into a modern rig but maybe next year I will find a TX to pair with my Drake 2B and take another trip down memory lane.  73 ...
