2012 ARRL June VHF Contest

06/12/2012 | N0EDV

Once again, the Limited Multi-Op crew of N0EDV and AI9Z operated the contest from the "rarest grid on the planet", EN67.  OK, maybe I can't back up that statement, but the pileups we caused seemed to indicate that it is at least a possibility!  The weather was beautiful...HOT and no rain!  The biting flies were worse this year than in other years, but we give up blood and flesh to activate this grid for the past 17 years, minus a couple for other commitments.  6M was smoking hot this year.  We had gear issues on several bands, so we didn't make any QSOs on 222, 902 or 10 GHz, thus crushing our hopes of getting out of the "Limited" category this year.  This year was our personal best with over 600 QSOs on 6M, besting our best of 81K last year...looks like we are right near 99K this year.  Maybe next year we will break the 100K barrier!
