I have been licensed for over 30 years with the same callsign and have made countless contacts on hf....I have recently been bitten by the vhf/uhf bug and for the first time in over 30 years I made my first 6m contact with WS7V during the contest.....he was just across town but good enough. My second contact was with XE2K and I got him on the first call! I should mention that this was done with a home brew 5 element beam that I had just completed (purched atop a ten foot tall ladder) and my Icom 756Pro running 50 watts....fun time.
