Tiernan Craver, grand-daughter of N4NW participated in the June, 2012 Kids Day from N4NW - Stafford, VA.

Tiernen completed 17 QSOs with 14 US stations & 3 DX stations.

Tiernan turned seven years old on May 31 and will be entering the 2nd grade this fall.  Tiernan, along with her mother, younger brother & sister made a special triip from Harrisonburg to Stafford for Kids Day 2012.

 Tiernan not only exchanged her age, favorit colors and the station location but advised other Kids Day participantes from W7ECA, K0VBU, WN9VMR, W4UC and other stations hosting kids. She was especially interested in the commenst of Morris - W7HXE about his puppets and being a ventriloquist, asking him a number of questions about what the puppets were like.

Just before the start of Kids Day, P Pa (N4NW) was sucessful in getting a photo of Tiernan in the operators position at N4NW. As Kids Day commenced, Tiernan changed the VFO on the IC-7800 to 14.280 after her grandfather had been working CW on 20.  She quickly appreciated the added punch the new Alpha 9500 gave her soft voice on SSB.

She said she is looking forward to another go at Kids Day as she begins her studies towards her own ham license.
