Incredibly, I  completely forgot Field Day (again!) this year. Operated from the top level of a parking garage in Bethesda, MD. Had very little time to operate but I want to thank those stations who "pulled me from the noise" on 17W  this year.

One reason FD is special to me is that it confirms my belief that there are skilled, patient operators out there who really are listening for stations that aren't conveniently booming away on 100+ watts. When disaster strikes, we need to be able to get thru on less than perfect overly-engineered setups. Looking forward to next year. I won't forget this time - promise!
