2012 ARRL Field Day
Jersey Shore Amateur Radio Society held it's 2011 Field Day Activities in Toms River NJ this past weekend.
Club members and many Operators where on hand to demonstrate and promote the Amateur Radio Service to the public and explain the many ways we serve the communities communication needs in time of emergencies.
The club ran 4ASNJ as our check with HF, UHF and VHF covered for phone, cw and digital modes. Antennas in use ranged from club built trapped dipoles, Barker Williamson 102' EndFedV, 102' G5RV and 500 foot long wire ! Power was QRP to 100w.
40 mtrs was the money maker, but the propagation opened up Sat evening on 20 to allow our stations to enjoy those FD contacts!
The weather was excellent after a storm passed by Friday evening, the food was great and the drinks icy cold.
'Til next year 73 and Hope to See You in the Log !
