06/20/2002 | WA2IID/R Jack (WA2IID) and Tom (KB2SSS) went Roving to 6 Grids in ENY. Weather and views were spectacular (See the photo attached at sundown Sunday). Contest activity seemed high with lots of NE stations on the air. Not much in the way of openings, but it looks like many of the improvements we made this year really paid off and we were very satisfied with our Hudson Division score of over 59K points. No major disastors, only equipment problem was the loss of the 6 meter preamp, and since we hear better than the DX hears us with pileups, that was not much loss. A great time was had.
