Straight Key Night is a special night in many ways. I made my very first QSO on January 1, 2000 during Straight Key Night. Each New Year's I use a Heathkit HW-16 I constructed with my Dad back in 1968. I love CW and I have always used a straight key. Each SKN is like going to church for me. We celebrate our hobby. We celebrate our heritage. We exercise our trusty rigs and our solid fists. We celebrate our friendship and camaraderie.This is what amateur radio is all about! Happy New Year everyone! Karl Zuk  N2KZ
