2013 was ushered in despite the absence of 2013 from the Mayan calendar.  I spent time on 40M, then 80M and had five enjoyable CW QSO's with W9KHH (WI), KI6RRN (CA), and K5WK (TX).  My two 80M QSO's were in a three-way round table with WI6O and WA6NPC , both in the San Francisco area.  I didn't quite make it to local midnight and had to hang it up a little after eleven PM, local PST.

No vintage gear was fired up like previous SKN's because my unheated garage was too cold to operate in this year (25 deg.F).  I had to use the Yaesu FT -450 and ZS6BKW multi-band dipole on a dresser in the spare bedroom.
