Up until last week I was planning on operating Field Day with my club, unfortunatly a last minute work conflict prevented that from happening. At the same time another member of the club ran into the same situiation. We disscussed going in late on saturday and operate over night, but neither of us was excited about just going to operate. After a conversation with a friend we were offered the option to setup in their back yard late on saturday and work through the night. We made a last minute descision saturday afternoon to meet at our friends place about 7:30 saturday night and start setting up. By 10pm we were on the air with 2 stations, a dipole with smart tuner and a verticle. I brought a generator and a couple laptops for logging. 

In the end we made 132 contacts on 15,20 and 40 meter phone. setup and tear down last less than 2 hours each. It was a great time and hopefully schedules will work out for next year to participate with the club.
