This year's operation was bittersweet for Dwayne and I. Last year in the shack was our best friend and contesting partner Leo WY7LL. As many know, we lost Leo suddenly and unexpectedly in 2013 while he and his wife Chris WY7ML were running the County Hunter Convention in Deadwood, SD.

Last year was a lot of fun also because we had a brand new ham in the shack with us.

This year, our goal was to do as well as we could with just the two of us operating. We beat our own record from last year and then some. We had fun in the shack which was the perfect place to be with the nasty cold weather happening outside.

We finished up with 1751 QSOs and we are pleased with our showing. We wanted to do Leo proud, we hope we did.
