06/29/2002 | KC9C We had a great time working our first field day in many years. WB4YJT adn I were unable to
participate on Saturday, but began early Sunday morning. We set up our Yaesu FT-817 and our
new Ventenna HFp portable antenna with a battery charged by solar panel.

Surprisingly, virtually everyone we called responded to our 5 watts and portable antenna!

Next year, we plan to operate the entire period. -- KC9C
