2010 IARU HF World Championships
I operated a total of 19.5 hours, traveled 1200+ miles and operated from 8 states, 6 ARRL divisions, 8 ARRL sections and activated 15 grids. While I worked most on SSB, FM played a significant role representing more than 10% of my final score. My final score wasn't particularly impressive being on the order of a quarter that of the serious rover ops in the same category. Still, it being my first serious contest of any sort much less VHF contest or as a rover op, I think I did pretty good.
My only real regret was failing to activate three grids I operated from. As each would have been another multiplier and would have bumped my grids activated total to 18. In any case I had a wonderful time and am looking forward to trying again.
