2017 ARRL June VHF Contest
Was portable (10 watts) again this year from Windy Point Campground in NW Arizona at 6000'. I was only able to work the contest one day, on Saturday. Wow it was very poor conditions both propagation and the wind was terrible. Was setup under a canopy with 2 tarps as wind break and the wind gusts were very hard and the wind noise from the tarps made listening quite a challenge even with headphones. The generator ran for 7 hours powering the FT-736r (2m & 70cm) and the FTDX-1200 for 6m. It was a big effort for one day of operating, but overall I did enjoy the experiance and I can't wait for next year to try it again.
