SPECIAL EVENT

This special event station will be set up in Hardin, MT at the Custer battle reenactments site. YRC members will be transmitting a CQ phone message identifying the special event and inviting worldwide amateur radio contacts. Phone transmissions for this event will be made by YRC members using Yaesu 877 and 857d mobile rigs assisted by an MFJ 969 tuner. A G5RV HF antenna will be utilized to transmit and receive communications and all units will be powered by solar panels or portable generators with appropriate inverters. A camping trailer will serve as the ham shack and operator control center. YRC members will transmit and receive all radio messages.
