Celebrate the 40th annual “HELEN TO THE ATLANTIC HOT AIR BALLOON RACE” (the only long distance hot air balloon race in the United States!) with members of the Gateway Amateur Radio Club. Member stations will be active using the call W4B “watch 4 balloons” from 25 May to 2 June from their home stations on various frequencies. On Saturday June 1, the club will be operating from downtown Helen, Ga. near race headquarters. Operating times on June 1 will be from 1500Z to 2100Z on or near these suggested frequencies: 7.265, 14.260, 18.145, and 21.355.
