Document #27
Members:

Huntington, K9KM Chair

ARRL Staff Liaison Ed Hare, W1RFI
1. Restructuring of Working Groups.
In August, Bob Larkin, W7PUA, found it necessary to resign his position as Software Defined Radio Working Group Chair. The ARRL Technology Task Force thanks Bob for his significant contributions to the group and to the field of SDR and look for his continued contributions in the future. Doug Smith, KF6DX agreed to take the chair to continue the work of SDR WG and at the same time continue in his capacity as chair of the Digital Voice Working Group. The TTF also continues to administer the High Speed Multimedia Working Group.
2. Working Group Accomplishments and Plans.
Much progress has been made by the three working groups and their dedication and efforts to advance technology within the amateur radio service is greatly appreciated by the ARRL Technology Task Force. Reports from each of the three working groups are included and I have summarized the accomplishments and plans in the following presentation. Publication of the activities of the three working groups in QST, QEX and on the web has generated much interest from amateurs and even non amateurs and serves to recruit new licensees and ARRL members.
Respectfully submitted,
Howard Huntington, K9KM
Chairman, Technology Task Force
