New Technician Exams
and ExamWin Software.
As you are aware, new
Technician Class Element 2 exams are to be used at your
test sessions beginning July 1, 2006.
- For ARRL
VE teams who are Formally Field stocked, five new Technician class test
design booklets will
be coming to you via priority mail during the last week in June.
Please discard any existing Technician class test booklets (2003 and 2004
series) on or after Midnight, June 30, 2006, as they will no longer be
valid.
- For ARRL VE teams who are using the ExamWin
Software, the updated version has been released and is available on the ARRL VEC web page www.arrl.org/arrlvec/examwin.
New ARRL/VEC CSCE.
-
Handing out ARRL membership invitations to candidates just got easier! The new CSCE is now a 4-part document, designed to make
distributing ARRL membership information simple. We know that most of you want
a healthy and growing ARRL and a healthy and growing Amateur Radio community;
it's probably one of the reasons you became a VE in the first place. We know
you're always looking for ways to help your candidates, and Amateur Radio as a
whole. For someone who has just passed an exam, it's an excellent time to help
him or her get the most out of their Amateur Radio experience. ARRL membership helps them do just that. But please, no hard sell. We don't want anything to
detract from the purpose of an exam session.
- To complete
the new CSCE, use a ballpoint pen and press hard enough for the
information to transfer through to the fourth sheet of paper. When separating
the carbon copies of the CSCE, the first sheet (white) and the second sheet
(blue) are given to the candidate, the third sheet (pink) must
be sent to the ARRL VEC and the fourth sheet (yellow) is to be retained by
the VE team. (The prior version of
the CSCE is still valid and may also be used at your sessions.)
