ARRL/VEC to Charge for 5 WPM Morse Tests

Effective with 5 WPM Morse code tests given on/after April 15, 2000, the ARRL/VEC will no longer offer the 5 WPM Morse tests for free. ARRL VEs will charge a test fee of $6.65 to anyone who comes in to just take the (Element 1) 5 WPM Morse code test starting April 15th. Before April 15th, the 5 WPM Morse code test (Element 1A) and/or the Novice written test (Element 2) are free at ARRL/VEC test sessions.
