Allen Pitts

Just finished a stint on 3.920 and meeting with hams from Missouri, Michigan, Virginia. Nice folks to chat with at this wierd hour. Nice also to see 75m holding up at least to the midwest. Now if Katie would just stop that yawning! Yawning is contageous. Maybe we need to forcefeed caffeine?

Brant Rock Contact with W1F

Bob just made contact with Brant Rock on 1.8550! He's thrilled!! Allen has just jumped on to talk to George Stein, W1F who is the grandson Adam Stein who was on Fessenden's original team at Brandt Rock in 1906. Very exciting indeed!

Then Bob went back and got them on AM! He is one happy camper right now!

Things are quieting a bit on the bands....but we've got a few guys still going well!

High noise levels on the bands. Worked W1F and W1AW on 75. Hope to make it a clean sweep in the morning. We were mainly hearing Canada so we joined in the RAC contest. Looking forward to having 3 bands active tomorrow.

Pics are of WA3PZO and K3CJ operating one of 3 HF stations for WM3PEN.
