    The Amateur Radio Crossword Puzzler

    By H. Ward Silver, N0AX
    February 21, 2004

"Spread a Little Sunshine" -- The Master Puzzler has concocted a crossword to honor a friend who brought a lot of light into his life.

In honor of my friend Jim White, K4OJ's, untimely passing, this puzzle turns the spotlight of confusion onto his home state, Florida. What images does Florida conjure up when you hear the word or make a QSO with the southernmost state in the fourth call district? Don't worry, it's probably in here! (And Jim, if you're reading this--no peeking, okay?)

Ward "Bits and Pieces" Silver, N0AX, authors--among numerous other things--the Amateur Radio Crossword Puzzler, which appears twice a month on the ARRL Web site. He can be reached by e-mail at n0ax@arrl.net or by surface mail at Aetherworks Publishing, 22916 107th Ave NW, Vashon, WA, 98070.
