Harold Kramer, WJ1B

Harold Kramer of Cheshire, Connecticut joined the ARRL as Chief Operating Officer in February 2005.

Before joining ARRL, Harold was the Vice President for Business Development and Education at Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. in Hartford. Prior to his position at Connecticut Public Broadcasting, he spent 25 years in the cable television and television production industries. He holds an A.A.S. degree in Electronic Technology from The University of Hartford and a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Education from the University of Connecticut. On the Amateur Radio side he is a lifelong ham with his principal focus on emergency communications, an ARRL Life Member and the former Amateur Radio Emergency Coordinator for Cheshire, Connecticut. His FCC assigned call sign is WJ1B. He has been an adjunct faculty member at many local colleges, principally teaching communications and electronics.

Harold lives in Cheshire with his wife, Karen. He has two grown daughters.
