QST Cover Photography
We're always looking for
good photographs to use on the covers of QST.
Before you send your work for consideration, however, make sure it meets the
following requirements:
-
The image should preferably be on a 35 mm
color slide or a large format color transparency. Prints, negatives or digital
images may be considered, however.
-
The image orientation must be vertical.
-
The photograph must illustrate an Amateur
Radio activity, or a particular piece of Amateur Radio equipment.
-
If one or more individuals are shown
prominently (in close-up, for example), they must be ARRL members. It's also a
good idea to obtain their written permission(s) to appear in your photograph.
You
might also want to refer to the Author's Guide, which has Tips for Taking
Better Photographs.
If
your photograph meets all of these requirements, send it to us for
consideration, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. If we decide not
to use your submission, it will be returned. Please include a detailed written
description of the photograph, including the names and call signs of any
individuals shown.
