06/29/2005 | W7DK Radio Club of Tacoma, once again operated from the Tacoma Rifle and Revolver Club in University Place, as 7A.

This year's Field Day was dedicated to Mac Parks, W6NBD, who recently became SK. Mac was active in many past FDs and was involved in forming the club's W7OS Antique Radio Museum. We were honored that Mac's family came to the site to view our operation.

We erected towers for VHF, 20M CW, 20M PH, 15M CW+PH, and a extension ladder tower for 10M. A GOTA station gave certificates for completing a QSO and an Info station greeted visitors. We copied the CW ARRL message and made 5 CW QSOs with the AC7QN bicycle powered generator.

The traditional Saturday 6 PM BBQ was a great social event.

The 9 stations results are not all in, however... it looks like we exceded our last years QSO count. -- AE7RW
